About Me

Welcome to my blog!

I am a reader. Always have been. I don't remember a time in my life that I did not have a book in hand and several to be read. The more I read, the more books I discover to read. Some I read and remember. Some I read and forget. That is how this blog started. I started writing book reviews – to keep my memories of the books I have read.

Please know that I do receive certain books through publisher giveaways and requests. The books are provided free of cost in exchange for an honest review. I receive no compensation for my reviews. The reviews are always mine and always truly what I think about the book regardless of the source of the book.

When not reading, my adventures come with my three beautiful children and my husband. Fortunately, they all share my love of reading, and we can often be found reading together. Our choices may range from a magazine to fiction to history, but the joy of reading is the same.

I hope you will enjoy my thoughts and maybe find a few books to read. I would love to hear your thoughts. Of course, book recommendations are always welcome! Thank you for stopping by and happy reading!

  1. Warm greetings from the South of Brazil to you Nada. We are going through back to school time now but under a 'Saharian summer' like not seen ihere n over 40 years.
I got here through my Good Reads page and I found a lot of 'common readings' between us so I made up my mind about posting some comments. I hope you don't mind about them,
Still, I read a lot in English and I will sure be here more often looking for suggestions for a next reading too.
Thank you and best wishes (we say 'tudo de bom')

  2. Thanks you for providing me access to your book review blog. I used to read at least one book a month and I need to reestablish that practice. Additionally, thank you for sharing information about various library resources and the service provided by many for free e-book checkouts. I also want to compliment you on the layout and organization of your blog. I was wondering if you have a section indexing the book titles in alphabetical order for viewing. In any event, I will say for now, happy reading and we will "talk" again soon!

    1. Rodney, Thank you for stopping by and for your kind words. I look forward to more discussions about the books we read. I do not have an alphabetical index as yet, but it is on my list of features to possibly add. Thank you for the suggestion. Meanwhile, you can enter a title in the search box to the right and see if I have read it. Not quite the same as scrolling a list but it does help find a particular one.

Thank you again and happy reading!

  7. Wow, Nada, I must say I think you are an amazing person. What a brilliant mind! How you can accomplish all that you do and do it all so well I find incredible. I was attracted to your blog because of a reference to it that you included in a summarized review you did on PaperbackSwap.com of The Chalk Man, a book I myself had just completed. I am so glad I found it, your blog I mean. Your marvelous review helped me so much to truly understand, and better appreciate this book and the talent of its author. I failed to comprehend the complexity and multiple levels of meaning until I read your review. Then for me it was a real ahahh experience. You know, "yesss, now I see that!" Thank you.
